Bronze “Tort” sculpture is a spectacular example of the artist’s skilful approach to the art of patination. Tort – short for tortoiseshell – is a fur colour of rabbits. The rabbit sculpture is an exemplary depiction of the Black Tort, with its richly deep red/orange body and smoky grey to black shading on the nose, around the eyes, on the ears, feet and tail.
